Authentic Japanese Kishimen thick flat noodles with wheat flour
This variety of noodles Kishimen きしめん is produced in the prefecture of Gunma (former province of Joshu) in central Japan, renowned for its temperate climate, abundant pure water and the quality of its wheat flour.
Taking its name from the highest mountain in the region, the Akagi producer continues the skill of making authentic and tasty noodles according to traditional local recipes and takes care to package them in recycled paper.
Kishimen noodles are a variety of thicker Udon noodles that are longer and flatter, like Italian tagliatelle.
They originate from the city of Nagoya: every year, on October 26, they celebrate Kishimen Day!
