shutaro hayashi kirishima asamushi kanaya midori sencha
Organic Sencha green tea, rare, grown by the Shutaro Hayashi family
Shutaro HAYASHI is a fifth-generation member of a family of tea growers in the prefecture of Kagoshima, in the south of the Kyûshû peninsula. At the foot of the Kirishima mountains, 霧島 the Hayashi family cultivates in their family gardens surrounded by forests, species of tea trees, some of which are becoming increasingly rare in Japan. All of its production is derived from fully organic cultivation that meets the challenges that come from the demanding way of working in an organic tea garden.
This Sencha Asamushi Kanaya Midori tea is made exclusively from Kanaya Midori leaves, which are rarely used on their own to produce sencha. The leaves are steamed in the asamushi manner, being well shaped into needles: the tea thus retains a certain roundness and subtle floral nuances.
Enjoy all the roundness of this highly structured green tea and savour the simplicity of its floral sweetness!
