Umeshu 梅酒 is an alcoholic beverage made from sake in which Umé 梅 plums, a specific variety of Japanese plum, are marinated.
Since 1959, Choya チョ-ヤ has been producing the richly flavoured natural spirits near Osaka that have popularised Umeshu throughout the archipelago.
It offers you this umeshu The Ume Salute ザ梅サルチ in a sparkling version. Produced under licence from Choya in Germany according to the traditional recipe revisited from Japan. A delicious base of sparkling white wine, a dash of umé plum wine, umé plum juice and a pinch of sugar.
