Harusame はるさめ Japanese dried starch noodles

Literally spring rain in Japanese, these harusame noodles were :

  • originally produced from mung beans, there are now many varieties in Japan
  • made from potato and maize starch.

Hasusame are translucent, with a slightly slippery texture

  • tasteless, but absorb all the flavours around them wonderfully
  • will give a very pleasant flavour to all your favourite ingredients

Harusame remain firmer in hot water

  • eaten hot or cold, can be used in soups, râgouts, fondues and seasoned salads
  • perfect for replacing konjac spaguettis shiratakis
  • Japanese version of Danmyeon (Korean cellophane noodles) can also be used to recreate Korean
