Yuzu, Japanese citrus with sweet umami flavour

Yuzu ゆず柚子 is a citrus fruit native to China. Its colour varies from yellow to green, depending on its ripeness.

A delicioussweet-tart-umami citrus flavour, somewhere between grapefruit and mandarin.

A major ingredient in ponzu sauce (along with soy sauce). Or koshô, a paste combining yuzu and chilli.

Refreshing in salads, ideal for flavouring all kinds of dishes, from fish to cakes!

Yuzu & tangerine, a Yamaguchi speciality

In southern Japan, yuzu vinegar is used instead of rice vinegar or other cereal vinegars.

Yuzu juice is therefore called yuzu vinegar (as it appears on the product label).

This tasty juice is a blend of pressed yuzu juice and real dai dai mandarin juice.

It has a milder taste than 100% yuzu juice, with less of the bitterness characteristic of yuzu.

It is not fermented, even though it is called vinegar !

Yuzu Su, a seasoning with uniquely tangy flavours

Kishida makes this 100% natural, preservative-free Yuzu Su 柚子酢 juice.

Tanger and refreshing, a perfect versatile citrus touch !

  • essential in ponzu sauce
  • delicious in shabu-shabu and other hot-pots or stews
  • perfect for sashimi and tempura fries
  • an elegant touch for your vinaigrette sauces
  • a touch of originality in your drinks, added to sake or shochu. Or chilled with ice cream.
