At Wakayama, the plum-apricot ume is the star ingredient of Nakata Brewery, which has been producing wines and liqueurs from it since 1897.
This umeshu plum wine, produced with the Kishu plum variety with renowned quality throughout Japan, keeps the pickled, fully ripened plums in its bottle.
It is, moreover, brewed with Kumano Tonda no mizu water, awarded more than 10 times for its purity.
