Umeshu 梅酒 is an alcoholic beverage produced from sake in which Ume 梅 plums, a specific variety of plum from Japan, are marinated.
Since 1959, Choya has been producing richly flavoured natural alcohols near Osaka that have popularised Umeshu throughout the archipelago.
It offers this umeshu in an original version produced in Germany according to the traditional Japanese recipe: a base of white wine, ume plum wine, ume plum juice and a touch of sugar.
