suikyo mizudashi in nara
Organic mizucha green tea, for cold brewing, grown by the Suikyo family
Mizucha, also known as mizudashi, is a refreshing tea, which is drunk cold: the brewing time is only a few minutes, even with cold water.
Suikyo Mizucha tea 水茶 is grown and produced in the Suikyo family's organic tea gardens in the heart of the Nara Prefecture Mountains in central Japan.
This Suikyo Mizucha organic green tea contains only the finest and lightest leaves from the first harvest in May as well as a small amount of matcha tea.
No artificial fertilizers are used to fertilize the land, only herbs from the tea gardens are used to fertilize the tea plants. This method of cultivation, along with the local mountain soil of the Suikyo family makes the taste of this tea so unique.
