Mugicha (literally barley tea) is a roasted barley-based infusion popular in Japan. Mugicha is drunk cool in summer and hot in winter, at any time and with meals. This caffeine-free drink is very thirst-quenching. The taste of mugicha can range from nutty to coffee-like depending on how long it is brewed.
Mugicha is often prepared in advance by letting a bag brew in a large bottle of water so it can be easily drunk throughout the day.
This sachet contains 5 sticks of 15g allowing you to prepare up to 10L of mugicha in total.
