Japanese Wasabi powder high quality 25g
Clearspring wasabi japanese horseradish powder
All-natural wasabi powder, produced in Japan, to use as is or to rehydrate
The wasabi plant, sometimes called Japanese horseradish, has long been used in Japan as an essential condiment to accompany raw sashimi fish and sushi dishes, where its paste is prized for its pungency and lovely green colour. The Japanese like to use it with soba noodles and to accompany tofu. More recently, they sprinkle it on sauces, dressings and dips to enhance the flavours.
Cultivated in Japan since the 16th century, wasabi grows naturally along shady riverbeds in the mountain valleys of Japan.
Clearspring has selected this Wasabi Powder わさび粉 from Kinjirushi, which has been growing, harvesting and producing it using artisanal methods...since 1930! What makes it special? It is all natural and contains real wasabi root, whereas most wasabi products are made of mustard or horseradish with green dyes and other additives. Its authenticity is recognised by its pale grey-green colour, which contrasts with the brighter green of dyed wasabi.
Very convenient as a powder, this jar makes up to 45g of wasabi paste if rehydrated in water. Convenient, tasty and healthy!
