Japanese incense with the sweet scent of cherry blossoms Sakura, accompanied by a small square white incense holder
The custom of the cherry blossom festival spread to everyone in the heart of the Edo period.
The Somei yoshino cherry tree, common in parks today in Japan, was originally an ornamental variety in the gardens of Somei village near Edo. This festival was an opportunity for the inhabitants to meet and also to wear fancy kimonos. People sang and danced to celebrate the arrival of spring heralded by the captivating scent of cherry blossoms.
Today the Japanese still love cherry blossoms as much as ever: looking at them, they think of the transience of life and lose themselves in the beauty of the flowers. The Japanese celebrate this flowering period with enthusiasm and gaiety by gathering under the cherry trees to practice Hanami, the contemplation of cherry blossoms.
This incense Oedo-Koh Sakura no Hanagoromo ???? expresses all the aromatic profusion of cherry blossom petals and the colours of kimonos worn during Hanami
Enjoy the joy of spring, a time when people of all ages gather around the sweet and suave scent of cherry blossoms!
