Sake brewer for several decades in Fushimi, south of Kyoto, Kizakura 黄桜 takes its name from the famous Japanese cherry tree with double and ... yellow flowers, a rarity much appreciated by the brewery's foundator.
The region's harsh climate during the winter season and the purity of the Fushi-Mizu's groundwater contribute to the making of quality sake.
This light, dry but highly aromatic sake Junmai Kyô No Tokuri Kinpaku 純米京のとくり金箔 offers rich, round flavours that are a perfect accompaniment to sashimi, fish and seafood.
Presented in a small tokkuri type bottle traditionally used to serve sake, it also contains gold flakes: ideal for celebrating an event or as a gift!
