Akitakomachi rice from japanese farmers 2kg - Origin Ibaraki Inashiki
Ibaraki Ken San Akitakomachi
Akitakomachi type short grain rice, freshly polished, grown in Inashiki
Short-grain rice of the Akitakomachi variety, originating in Japan and imported directly from local rice growers.
Its freshness guarantees high quality, unique taste and sweetness.
This rice variety, which is very popular in Japan, was originally grown exclusively in Akita in northern Japan, also known as "the home of rice", a prefecture renowned for its clean, natural water from the snow of its mountains and for its wide day-night temperature range, optimal conditions for fertilising the soil and producing the best rice, both delicious and of the highest quality. Very popular, the Akitakomachi variety is now grown in almost all of northern Japan.
The grains of Akitakomachi are firm and shiny, giving the rice its distinctive flavour and offering a perfect balance between firmness and sweetness, with a slightly sticky texture, ideal for making sushi, onigiri or as a side dish.
What makes it unique? Freshly polished farm rice packed in a Japanese paper bag.
