Miyazaki organic Tamamori green tea 100g
morimoto tamamori
Very high quality organic shaded green tea from the Morimoto family
For 40 years, the Morimoto Family has been cultivating seven varieties of tea plants in Miyazaki, in the south of the Kyûshû peninsula, for their unique flavours and their extreme resistance to climatic conditions. The Morimoto's offer a range of exclusively organic teas because they consider that producing natural tea in an ecological and balanced environment is a valuable goal.
The Oku Midori tea trees are shaded for a fortnight just before the June harvest. The finest tea leaves are then plucked and rolled, not into a needle, but into a comma shape (tamaryokucha). As is usual with Morimoto, the tea is subtly heated to retain its fresh character.
This organic Morimoto Tamamori tea is refreshing and full-flavoured with aromas of sweet fruit and flowers. It offers a pleasant combination of present umami and a slight sweetness.
Tamamori is a mellow yet very present tea: a tea with character for every day.
