Organic Yanagicha Bancha green tea from Miyazaki 100g
morimoto organic yanagicha bancha
Organic Yanagicha long leaf tea, grown by the Morimoto family
For 40 years, the Morimoto Family has been cultivating seven varieties of tea plants in Miyazaki, south of Kyûshû, for their unique flavours and extreme resistance to climatic conditions. The Morimoto's offer a range of exclusively organic teas because they consider that producing natural tea in an ecological and balanced environment is a precious goal.
Bancha tea is the tea of everyday life, almost banal and yet it is the second most drunk tea in Japan: its many names, such as Yanagicha, change according to the regions or preparations.
This Yanagicha tea is from the spring harvest. The slightly overgrown leaves from the 1st harvest are picked right after for the preparation of this Yanagicha. The leaves picked in the afternoon are left to chill until the following morning before being prepared: they are then not rolled but folded flat.
In addition to its typical strong tone, enjoy this Morimoto Yanagicha Bancha Organic with a strong floral aroma reminiscent of Oolong tea, especially at the 5th infusion, when the tea is not fermented!
