This bag contains 12 Inari Age いなりあげ (pronounced inali - ague), fried soy pockets seasoned with soy sauce and mirin.
These pockets of fried tofu with a sweet/salty taste are used to make inarizushi: this preparation consists of a pocket of fried tofu filled with a ball of vinegar rice, the same as for sushi.
Seasoned fried soy pockets Hikari Miso Inari Age can also be used sliced into miso soups or placed entirely on top of a bowl of Udon noodles, kitsune udon.
In Japan, foxes and the deity Inari, depicted in the form of a fox are said to adore fried soy pockets!
