50g resealable package of dried sea vegetable kombu, wild harvested in Hokkaido, the northermost island in Japan


How to use

Kombu sea vegetable is most commonly used to prepare ''Dashi'', a versatile stock that can be used to make soups, stews and sauces.

Enjoy this sea vegetable Hokkaido Kombu 北海道こんぶ, perfect for making vegan dashi stock !


Composition: Wild laminar (kombu, Laminaria japonica).

Resealable package.

Health advice: Sea vegetable are naturally rich in iodine. Iodine is essential for good health consumption of this sea vegetable product to no more than 1g per week (dry weight) for adults. Children under 4 years of age are recommended a third of this quantity.

  • To prepare, soak an 8-12cm long strip(2g)  of kombu in 1 litre of water for 20-30 minutes.
  • Then bring slowly to the boil and gently simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the kombu from the stock and discard before use
