Ozeki (literally sumo wrestler) Brewery has built a solid reputation for brewing enjoyable sake over 300 years.
Launched in 1964 at the Tokyo Olympics, Ozeki revolutionised the habits of sake drinkers by offering its One Cup sake on board the brand new Shinkansen. In addition to the standard 1.8L bottle, the small glasses of sake could finally be carried and consumed everywhere, on trains, at parties and at leisure. A pioneer in Japan, where its success has endured for over 50 years, this sake regularly wins trophies in international competitions.
This Junmai Sake, produced from 60% polished rice, with no added alcohol from the brewer is a rich and refreshingly well-balanced Japanese sake, easy to drink or use in cooking.
