Watanabe Brewery strives to preserve a traditional distillation in Miyazaki that has thrived for generations.

Find in their Mannen 万年 (10,000 years in Japanese!) range of handcrafted spirits, the taste of old perfume from local ingredients, all grown in the 2 villages nearby, and spring water from Mount Wanitsuka.

This Kuro Kôji Kuro Kôji 黒麴 shôchû, made from Kogane Sengan variety sweet potatoes, gets its originality from the black rice ferment that gives it a robust body and a very fragrant aftertaste.

Taste it chilled, for its richness of flavours and rarity: an exceptional shochu!
