Miyazaki Organic Hôjicha Roasted Green Tea 100g
morimoto organic houjicha
Organic roasted green tea Hôjicha, grown by the Morimoto family
For 40 years, the Morimoto Family has been cultivating seven varieties of tea plants in Miyazaki, south of Kyûshû, for their unique flavours and extreme resistance to climatic conditions. The Morimoto's offer a range of exclusively organic teas because they consider that producing natural tea in an ecological and balanced environment is a precious goal.
Hojicha tea is a green tea for coffee lovers! Indeed, this green tea is roasted at high temperature, which gives it that little roasted taste. Better still: very low in caffeine and tannins, it can be drunk in the evening. In Japan, people like to drink it after meals, as hôjicha tea aids digestion.
The large leaves of the summer harvest are gently roasted to give this excellent hôjicha tea. During the roasting stage, stems are added as they absorb much of the heat allowing the leaves to remain fairly green and not completely roasted.
Drink this Morimoto Hôjicha Organic tea combining the slight bitterness of an intense green tea with elegant roasted notes reminiscent of the gourmet aromas of caramel.
