Imuraya 井村屋, one of the most renowned confectioners in Japan, has instituted Azuki Day every 1st of the month! It has been producing a wide range of desserts made from Hokkaido red azuki beans since 1896 in Mié, including An-ko paste.

Anko, also known as an, is a sweet red azuki bean paste that is somewhat reminiscent in colour and taste of our chestnut cream.
