nagatanien umeboshi chazuke
Ochazuke tea rice mix with umeboshi plum
O'chazuke お茶づけ is a kind of tea rice soup accompanied by a variety of toppings.
This dish, which is very popular in Japan, is actually very simple: green tea is poured over the bowl of rice accompanied by nori seaweed, fish (such as salmon), furikake (the powdered seasoning for the rice ), a salted plum or any other accompaniment that pleases.
Nagatanien has concocted this mixture for you made from small puffed rice biscuits and strips of dehydrated nori seaweed: just sprinkle it over your bowl of rice and then pour boiling green tea (or boiling water instead of green tea) over the whole thing. You can also opt for the cold version, popular with the Japanese during the hot summer weather,
