Organic premium quality brown rice, ideal for preparing sushi as well as everyday rice dishes.
Packed with the full, delicious flavour of whole grains, the variety we have carefully selected has the same flavour and texture characteristics as the rice that is traditionally used in Japanese cooking.
Cooking Instructions (Serves 2)
1, Wash one cup (190g) of Sushi Brown Rice in cold water and drain.
2, Transfer to a sauce pan with 2 and 1/2 cups (600ml) of cold water and leave to soak for 60 minitues*.
3, Bring to the boil. Cover and reduce the heat, simmer for 40 minutes or until all of the water has been absorbed.
4, Remove from heat and leave covered for another 10 minutes before serving.
*When using a pressure cooker, use 1 and 1/2 cup (360ml) of water, bring to full pressure, then simmer for 30-40 minutes.
Leave covered until depressurised (approximately 10 minutes).
