Founded in 1868, the Imada brewery is full of surprises! It's run by a woman (which is rare enough in Japan to be worth mentioning), and this sake is made from white (not yellow) kôji, which gives it a refreshing lemony aroma with a hint of sweetness.
Made in Akisu-cho, a small seaside town close to Hiroshima that specialises in octopus and oysters, this top-quality sake has been specially designed to accompany shellfish, seafood and fish.
Enjoy this sake Fukucho Shiro Kôji Junmai Seafood 海風土 as a summer starter, with a menu that smells of the sea air, or with a simple salad.
