Umshu 梅酒 is an alcoholic beverage produced from sake in which Ume plums梅, a specific variety of plum from Japan, are marinated.

This umeshu Ginkoubai 吟香梅 is produced from local Ume plums from the Fukui prefecture and harvested at full ripeness Kanjuku.

Smooth, sweet and fruity on the palate, this umeshu from the Ippongi Kubohonten distillery in Fukui, then gives off the very pleasant and delicate refreshing flavour of the Ume plum.

This sweet drink is ideal as an aperitif, accompanied by ice.
