The seven-spice blend is a Japanese cooking essential.
Known as Shichimi tôgarashi ou Nanami tôgarashi 七味唐がらし (the words shichi and nana mean 7), this lightly spiced and fragrant blend contains seven spices in dehydrated form.
Including sesame chilli, citrus, ginger and seaweed, shichimi tôgarashi can be used wherever you like.
