A delicious aged barley shôchû produced in Oita in northeast Kyûshû
This Shochu Ginza No Suzume Kohaku 銀座のすずめ 琥珀 with natural sweetness is an authentic aged barley shôchû, thus following the pure local tradition.
This shôchu is aged in American oak barrels and these give it its golden, woody hue, smoky to the nose and taste.
On the palate, we perceive the taste of earth which gradually turns into caramel to end with a finish reminiscent of mint.
A traditional shochu with new flavours, to be enjoyed well chilled lying down with ice or water but it remains very pleasant if you prefer it chambré and even hot!
This shôchu is a very good choice for those who prefer to drink it cold.
