Organic Aracha new green tea, from 1rst crop 2024, grown by the Shutaro Hayashi family
Shutaro HAYASHI is a fifth-generation member of a family of tea growers in the prefecture of Kagoshima, in the south of the Kyûshû peninsula. At the foot of the Kirishima mountains, 霧島 the Hayashi family cultivates in their family gardens surrounded by forests, species of tea trees, some of which are becoming increasingly rare in Japan. All of its production is derived from fully organic cultivation that meets the challenges that come from the demanding way of working in an organic tea garden.
This Aracha Shincha 2023 tea is made exclusively from the leaves of the Asatsuyu Kabuse tea plants.
Shutaro Hayashi collected this exceptional Shincha on April 24, 2024. This harvested tea did not undergo final heating during preparation to preserve the original freshness and sweetness of these spring leaves.
This tea can be categorized as "Aracha": it contains about 5% moisture. Once opened, this tea should be kept cool and consumed within 10 days.
