Furikake ふりかけ is a seasoning in powder form to be sprinkled directly on hot rice. There is an infinite variety to enhance and vary the tastes of the rice that the Japanese eat daily at every meal.
Mishima 三島 has been producing furikake since 1949, which the Japanese enjoy with relish at breakfast: they particularly appreciate its salty taste.....irresistible tasty!
This variety Akari あかり, are tiny cod roe prepared with spices and a hint of red pepper: ideal to quickly add a touch of spicy umami flavours to your rice bowls but also your onigiri dumplings!
