‘Laure Kié, author of Japanese and vegetarian cookery books, was born in Tokyo to a Japanese mother and a French father.
She spent a large part of her childhood in Japan, but also in Africa and the Middle East.
These experiences gave her a taste for travelling and discovering different culinary cultures.
Later, she travelled all over Asia in search of new flavours and to enrich her culinary knowledge.
Today, she passes on this knowledge in her cookery classes and through her many books.
