Fukujinzuke? Quite simply a pickled vegetable condiment very often presented in a curry dish.
Fukujinzuke with its 7 vegetables takes its name from the tale the 7 deities of happiness Shichi Fukujin.
The original recipe brings together, daikon radish, aubergine, ginger, renkon lotus root, cucumber, shiitake and white beans, first finely chopped and then pickled in a base flavoured with soy sauce. The result: a crunchy texture and a slightly tangy, sour flavor.
Obento has selected this Japanese-style four-vegetable condiment Otsukemono ??? Fukujin Zuke, which is delicious as a side dish to many dishes, as an appetizer, and especially with your Japanese curry.
